KENDRA KAHRER
Kendra Kahrer began studying ballet as a toddler at the Westside School of Ballet in Santa Monica, CA with Yvonne Mounsey and Rosemary Valaire. While dancing at Westside, Ms. Kahrer performed in many ballets such as the Nutcracker, Coppelia, and Sleeping Beauty. She also performed in many works by George Balanchine such as: Serenade, Who Cares, and Concerto Borrocco. Kendra started her professional ballet career at the age of 14 with American Ballet Theatre in Le Corsaire. At 17, Ms. Kahrer competed in the Youth American Grand Prix and placed 2nd in the nation for her category. After graduating high school, she attended The Rock School of Ballet on full scholarship in Philadelphia, PA. After the six week program she was offered a spot in the year round program and danced with Pennslyvania Ballet until 2004.
In 2005, Ms. Kahrer came back to Los Angeles and started a freelance dancing career performing in the Glory Productions at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA as the principal dancer in both The Glory of Christmas and The Glory of Easter. In 2008 Kendra moved to San Diego and started attending classes at Infinity Dance Arts with her young son Jaxon. Kendra was then introduced to the Caburlesque Kittens and is now their resident ballerina. Kendra looks forward to help mold the future dancers of tomorrow and share with them her exspansive knowledge of the body, ballet, and technique.
