JAMES RIVERA

James Rivera is 25 years young and a native to the San Diego area. He started dancing in 2005, studying hip-hop at Grossmont and Mesa College under the direction of Melissa Adao. James danced for Culture Shock San Diego dance troupe and KE dance team. He also studied a few semesters of Jazz and modern at local colleges and Eveoke Dance Center.

James started sharing his knowledge of hip-hop in 2007, teaching beginning/intermediate and youth hip-hop. He also specializes in cardio hip-hop classes. His focus as a teacher is to pass his joy of dance along to all who enter his classroom. He says, “If you can walk you can dance. It doesn’t matter what other people think, all that matters is how good it makes you feel while you’re doing it.”
