ALANDRA CHAVARRIA

Alandra fell in love with dance during her first hip hop performance, dancing to "Yeah!" by Usher when she was 9 years old. Then after watching Jennifer Rubio dance on stage that very same day, she said to herself, "That's what I want to be." She's been under Jenn's training ever since. She danced at Culture Shock Dance Center as part of two of their hip hop troupes and occasionally seeks training at the Academy of Performing Arts. Being the first freshman at her school to ever be allowed to lead the dance team, she explored her creativity and self expression as she choreographed many of the team's dances as well as designing hair and costume. She is now extremely proud to be a new member of the Infinity family, as a children's hip hop teacher. She hopes to help her students find that feeling of love as they dance, the way she feels the love and passion every time she's dancing.

She would like to thank her mom for her encouragement and support, and of course Jenn for being her inspiration, teaching her about dedication as a dancer, and helping her discover her passion in life.
